ABOUT
I have spent many years of my life in opposition, and I rather like the role – Eleanor Roosevelt
Dina Lockridge is a Los Angeles based photographer and mixed media artist best known for her large-scale, colorful, painted photographs which capture feminine beauty, sensuality, and antagonistic empowerment.
Raised in Greenwich, Connecticut and New York City, Dina moved West to the mountains of Malibu over a decade ago. At three-years-old she received her first film camera from her grandmother and hasn’t stopped exploring, mastering, and finding new ways to marry her fine art background with her photography.
She has a love of the sacred feminine capturing moments of surreal beauty most often in nature or underwater that is inspired to leave the beholder mesmerized and the muse empowered. Color is an important aspect of all her artwork whether it be her fine art paintings, her photography, or painted photographs. Music has always been her love and an intricate part of her creative process. Each photo shoot is conceived to a particular song and that song is repeated throughout the editing process infusing it with harmonic consistency and feeling.
She has been featured numerous times on Saatchi Art as a world’s top emerging artist and favorite original artist and has toured and photographed with some of the greatest musicians of our era. Whether she’s diving underwater to capture that raw ethereal shot to convert into a colorful visual or hopping a plane to Tokyo to shoot Shawn Mendes in a private concert, she gives her heart and soul hoping you experience a new perspective from her every photographic capture and art creation.
